Adrienne Rozzi Response: Pentagram

I drew this design based on Adrienne Rozzi's work as well other images I've seen combining nature with this spiritual emblem. I began by sketching out the pentagram shape, having different lines behind another like the traditional symbol is. The shape of the pentagram is made from twigs with vines and leaves wrapped around it. The border is a reef of vines, intertwining each other. Flowers at the bottom centre are of a similar form to Rozzi's style and add more life to the drawing.

I carefully went over the sketch with a 0.05 and 0.1 nip pen depending on the thickness I desired.

Once I'd done this I took a photo so I could experiment with different colour ways and textures using CAD.

I continued to add more detailing to the twigs by creating many curved lines to give it more of a 3D shape.

To take this design even further, I shall screen print and use it as a stencil for hand embroidery. I will also experiment with different materials such as watercolour to produce an alternative style.
