Photoshoot Editing
After doing the photoshoot, we printed them all on a contact sheet for me to pick the ones I wanted. I then narrowed them down again and edited my final ones on photoshop.
The photos came out quite dark due to the fact we were working with only one light and a small reflecter. This was not an issue as I used photoshop to adjust the brightness and contrast on all my photos. I also used the plaster tool to smooth out the models complexion as well as any creases in the backdrop. I also used the colour replacement tool to slightly change the models lip colour to compliment the outfits more. It was also visible where I had tacced the collar on so I smoothed out the lines of thread using the plaster tool.
I am really happy with these photo's as I feel they have been styled well to fit my theme by using the gritty and black back drop to give that creepy atmosphere. I do think the woods would've been a great location to shoot these however due to the weather on our day we planned to shoot it was not practical. I didn't over expose the brightness as my theme is better communicated with less. I am happy with how I styled the garment with lace up boots as they look like witches boots, conveying my theme. If I could change anything about these photo's I would back comb the models hair more and add some colour to the cheeks so the light doesn't wash her out as much.
